The Quin, a new Manhattan hotel opening mid 2013, announces the partnership with hospitality veterans Eric Marx and Lisle Richards to create a much anticipated New York restaurant designed to showcase a diverse selection of regional seafood. The two-story New York restaurant and bar, located on the corner of 57th and 6th, inside the Quin, will evoke the experience of an old gentlemen’s club with a touch of disco-era design, inspiring a feeling of rediscovery and rebirth.
Richards and Marx have partnered with Jimmy Haber of ESquared Hospitality to create a new hospitality brand, starting with the new venture at the Quin. This new New York restaurant is set to become a great addition to the neighborhood and a refined new gathering space where locals and hotel guests of this Manhattan Hotel alike can enjoy a fresh seafood-focused menu in an inviting setting, seven days a week.
The design firm Meyer Davis will create a dynamic feeling of eternal inheritance by infusing the progressive ethos of the 1970’s into the classic elegance of 19th century New York. Guests will be treated to a variety of different experiences including the grand parlor, the second floor club room bar or the three private dining rooms. This New York restaurant will combine various components to make it the ideal location for a sit-down dinner in the main dining room or a custom cocktail in the intimate second floor club room bar.
“We are excited to be launching a restaurant at the Quin,” said Lisle Richards and Eric Marx. “The hotel’s commitment to quality is akin to our philosophy that guests should always be the centerpiece of an amazing hospitality experience. The addition of this inspired new eatery to the Quin will provide a level of service and refinement that welcomes diverse global communities.”
Marx and Richards have managed many of New York’s most popular venues for reputable hospitality companies such as Gerber Group and One Group. Prior to assuming the role of Director of Operations of EMM Group’s New York locations, Marx managed the Meatpacking District hotspot, Tenjune. Richards, also a hospitality veteran, is credited as a key conceptual architect of the STK brand and the One Group.
“The vision for the restaurant is perfectly aligned with the Quin’s mission to provide an urbane retreat in the heart of Manhattan,” states Alan Kanders, principal of Three Wall Capital, owners of the Quin. “Much like the Quin, the restaurant will embrace the glamour of old New York while also offering modern comforts and luxury services fitting for such an establishment.”
the Quin opens its doors mid 2013:
