[related tag=”Boston” limit=3] Postmates, a courier service, is launching in Boston and Cambridge on Wednesday. The San Francisco-based company describes itself as “Uber" for stuff, unlocking the city's inventory by connecting customers with a fleet of bike or car couriers to deliver anything in under an hour, 24 hours a day. The app, available for iOS and Android, allows users to browse an inventory of thousands of restaurants and stores in their city, add items instantly, watch their rated “Postmate” (either a driver or bike messenger) moving on the map, and track their order status in real time. Deliveries start at $5 and users pay for everything within the app, eliminating the need for cash. [caption id="attachment_431698" align="alignright" width="430"]
