My Bath: Loraine Morgan-Brinkhurst . . . city has wealth of great restaurants This is Bath -- *Charity supporter, event organiser and councillor Loraine Morgan-Brinkhurst answers the questions in our My Bath feature*

What's your favourite part of Bath?

I love the Roman Baths, especially at night when the torches are lit, creating a fantastic atmosphere.

Where's the best place to eat in the city?

There are so many wonderful restaurants in Bath, we are truly spoilt for choice. But I do enjoy the delicious food at the Allium Brasserie at the Abbey Hotel. Tilley's restaurant is also a fabulous place to eat and the Green Park Brasserie has delicious food and great service.

What's the best view in the city?

Bath Abbey, which at night is lit up, the architecture looks so stunning.

What would your perfect day in Bath entail?

Hair done by my daughter Stacey at Jay's Straight Hair Company, followed by nails pampering at the American Nails salon, then coffee at the Cosy Club, before a visit to the shops in SouthGate. Moving up through town to then meet my friends for lunch in Côte Brasserie. Then off to watch one of Bath's rugby matches and post-match drinks at Circo Bar. And my other special day out would be taking my grandchildren to the pictures, a meal and then back home for a sleepover with drinking chocolate (their favourite). I'm always very busy with my council and charities commitments, but I do try and make quality time when I can for my family.

Where would you meet friends for a drink?

The Abbey Hotel has a lovely lounge bar, or the wonderful new bar at the Royal Crescent Hotel. Again, we are spoilt for choice and have such wonderful bars in the city.

What's your favourite shop?

I love buying clothes from Jacques Vert which is based in Debenhams – their clothes are classic and do not date. Every special occasion, I buy my outfits from this beautiful shop. The outfit I wore for my MBE investiture came from Jacques Vert, the staff are also so friendly and helpful.

What one thing about Bath would you change?

I am so proud that Bath is my home city and I have never wanted to live anywhere else. The city is so compact that you can get around it quite easily.

But I would love to see more use of the river and I know that this would enhance the city. And my second choice would be a concert hall/conference venue. As an events organiser I would love one to be built in Bath.
